Generations of Experience
The Marine Corps League is proud to support Marines in many areas. Ten divisions cover 48 departments and more than 1,140 detachments in communities across the country.
League members help deliver funeral honors at more than 10,000 funerals each year, support scholarships and veterans’ assistance, help transitioning Marines and their families, and publish the quarterly Semper Fi magazine.

Our local history
The Beginning of Detachment 1477
The presentation of our charter marked an early milestone for the Cpl. Matthew D. Conley Detachment. Since then, its members have built a local tradition of fellowship, remembrance, youth mentorship, and service throughout the Shoals.

The Marine Corps League History
The Marine Corps League perpetuates the traditions and spirit of all Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen who proudly wear, or who have worn, the Eagle, Globe and Anchor of the Corps.
It takes great pride in crediting its founding in 1923 to World War I hero and then Major General Commandant John A. Lejeune.
