The Shoals Area Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls ages 8 through high school graduation. As the official youth program of the Marine Corps League, its mission is to strengthen America’s youth through leadership, discipline, teamwork, and a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
Our Mission
The program develops good citizenship, promotes healthy living, and encourages academic excellence while honoring veterans and serving the community.
What We Do
- Leadership Training: Learn how to inspire and guide others.
- Physical Fitness: Build strength, endurance, and healthy habits.
- Community Service: Participate in local events, parades, and projects.
- Veteran Appreciation: Volunteer and engage with local veterans.
- Drug Demand Reduction: Gain tools for a drug-free lifestyle.

The Marine Corps League History
The Marine Corps League perpetuates the traditions and spirit of all Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen who proudly wear, or who have worn, the Eagle, Globe and Anchor of the Corps.
It takes great pride in crediting its founding in 1923 to World War I hero and then Major General Commandant John A. Lejeune.
